With each of our women's ski boots sold, Madshus donates a portion of net sales to breast cancer research. Madshus supports their efforts by placing the pink ribbon logo on every pair of ski boots in the W9 series.
Madshus W9 series are aimed at increasing women's awareness of the disease as well as disseminating information about how to contribute to prevention and the search for a cure.
Madshus has focused on improving women's health through recreation and sports, but with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation partnership, Madshus is also putting some much needed money into improving women's quality of life.
Pink Ribbon Facts:
- An international movement to increase knowledge on Breast Cancer awareness and raise money for research to fight this deadly disease
- 1 of 11 Norwegian woman are diagnosed with Breas Cancer in 2004
- 2754 Norwegians were diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2004 and 550 of them was under the age of 50.
- in Norway the survival rate is more than 80 percent still living 5 years after being diagnosed Breast Cancer
